Write to us
It helps if you tell us:
- your iPhone model and iOS version;
- the app’s version: in the app, open Settings and look under About;
- what you did and what you saw.
You don’t need to send your photos. What we do with your message is described in the privacy policy.
The purchase
I bought Unlimited, but the daily limit is back
In the app, open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. The purchase belongs to your Apple Account, so it comes back after you reinstall the app or move to a new iPhone. If the app says that no purchase was found, check that your iPhone is signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with.
How do I use a code?
In the app, open Settings and tap Redeem Code. Apple’s own sheet opens. Enter the code there, and Unlimited turns on as soon as Apple confirms it.
My purchase is waiting for approval
Some purchases have to be approved first, for example by a parent in Family Sharing. You don’t need to do anything in ClutterOff: Unlimited turns on by itself once the purchase is approved.
Can I get my money back?
The purchase is made with Apple, so refunds are decided by Apple and not by us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose to request a refund. Apple explains the steps here.
If Apple refunds the purchase, Unlimited turns off and the daily limit returns.
The app says the purchase isn’t available
The price and the purchase come from the App Store, so they need an internet connection. Try again when you are online. Until then you can keep using your free decisions.
Your photos
I see no photos, or only some of them
ClutterOff sees only what you allow. In the app, open Settings and look at Photo Access: it shows whether the app has your whole library or only the photos you selected, and lets you change it. With selected photos only, your albums may be missing and your photos are listed by month.
If access is restricted on the device, check Screen Time and device restrictions in iPhone Settings.
A photo or video asks to be downloaded from iCloud
Its original is stored in iCloud and not on your iPhone. Tap Download from iCloud, and iOS fetches it from Apple. You need an internet connection, and a long video can take a while.
I deleted something by mistake
If you have not confirmed the deletion yet, open the trash in the app and tap Restore on the item.
If you have, open the Photos app and look in Recently Deleted. Apple keeps deleted items there for 30 days, and you can recover them. Apple’s steps are here.
I deleted photos, but my storage hasn’t changed
Deleted items stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days and still take up space. To free it now, open Recently Deleted in the Photos app and delete them there. After that they cannot be recovered. With iCloud Photos the deletion also reaches your other devices.
Some items stayed in the trash after I deleted
iOS does not let apps delete certain items. ClutterOff deletes the rest, tells you how many it could not delete, and leaves those in the trash. Restore them from the trash to clear it.
The free limit and your data
When do I get more free decisions?
You have 100 decisions every 24 hours. The 24 hours begin with your first decision, and when you run out the app shows how long is left. Undoing a decision gives it back. Looking through the trash, restoring and deleting are never limited.
How do I remove everything ClutterOff has saved?
Delete the app. Its saved decisions and settings go with it, and your photo library is not touched. Your purchase stays with your Apple Account: install the app again and tap Restore Purchases.
